I am now a size 8 (was a 7 1/2 prior to my pregnancies) and my daughter is almost 4, so I think I'm there to stay. ;0) Putting my feet up helped but the swelling still lasted the whole pregnancy.

I've had friends that have had GD and I know it's not easy. Have you thought about watermelon? I've known some pregnant that love it because it reduces the swelling from all the extra fluid.Rebeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06316511791499949824noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3067490622767117214.post-63067588008861288612012-02-28T13:53:04.394-05:002012-02-28T13:53:04.394-05:00Thats a positive way to get through it make a fami...Thats a positive way to get through it make a family of it. I like it. Sorry you have to keep sticking yourself I know that feeling though I am getting used to my injections. Sounds like you need to stay with your feet up for a bit though I'm sure swelling in the last tri is common.Mrs. Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02764630042494209537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3067490622767117214.post-27887612529617906842012-02-28T13:35:37.929-05:002012-02-28T13:35:37.929-05:00Ahhh Memories!

I hardly recognized my feet and hands for months so don't worry, they will go back to normal after your baby girl has arrived. The only thing that worked for me was elevating my feet up on a pillow. The end is near and soon you will have that baby in your arms :)Nicolenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3067490622767117214.post-6615127492767092502012-02-28T13:35:22.786-05:002012-02-28T13:35:22.786-05:00Making a game out of it sounds like something I wo...Making a game out of it sounds like something I would do to get me through it also. My size 6 feet could barely fit into size 8 shoes by the end of the day. At the beginning of my pg, a friend told me to get Birkenstocks and I refused because they aren't my style... well, once my feet started swelling, I got a pair and they were the best. I gave birth in December and despite the snow, they were the only shoes that I wore lol.

I took a prenatal yoga class and my teacher would put me in the legs up the wall position which is not easy to do when pg but was really helpful for swelling. Maybe if you search prenatal yoga poses on Google, you could find it?

My hands were swollen too and I had pg induced carpal tunnel. I didn't even know that existed. I couldn't wear my wedding rings from 4 months pg until 7 months postpartum.

The good news is that my hands and feet are back to normal other than sometimes having to go up a shoe size.

Hang in there! GD doesn't sound easy at all!Samanthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16355002626794448076noreply@blogger.com
