Sometimes those nurses just don't show the enthusiasm we need huh?
The ET is easy breezy. RE1 didn't give me anything, RE3 gave me valium (much better bc it is a stressful time awaiting those babes). There is very minimal cramping or tenderness....pretty much the same as with IUI but with a full bladder (that was the worst part to me).
MIRALAX!!! It will help you go but won't cause extra cramping like other laxatives.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3067490622767117214.post-61899215221388101962011-08-09T22:53:49.774-04:002011-08-09T22:53:49.774-04:00My transfers didn't hurt at all. FOURTEEN alive and kic...Ok, first: YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

FOURTEEN alive and kicking little embies is awesome! Go you!!!

Second, senna/senakot is *probably* fine, but it can cause uterine contractions (it stimulates smooth muscles, like in your bowel, but you also have that in your ute). You'll be cramping a bit after your transfer anyway. Personally, I would avoid it, but probably nothing bad would happen. (It's pregnancy category C.) My bowel routine (because I'm 84...and on Zofran) is 200mg Colace every day plus Milk of Mag, 4 oz, if I haven't had a bowel movement that day. Both are totally safe for pregnancy and OTC.

Third, if your RE works anything like mine, they'll talk to you before you gown up, so don't be worried about being surprised on the table. You can probably call them the morning of and ask for an update. :)

Fourth, HELL YEAH!!! Transfers don't hurt any more than an IUI, I think there should be less cramping. The Valium is pretty awesome, it is just a muscle relaxer. Did you do a trial transfer?
