Changes

Just like the season is changing...so are things at home for us!

I am headed back out into the working world! I have so many mixed emotions about this. Excited...nervous...sad to leave the kids...all sorts of thing running through my head right now! But it's time. For the last four years I have been home. I've also been babysitting another child full time at home. So this is going to be a huge change for all of us.....

I've accepted a full time position at a nearby college. I really think it will be the perfect fit once I get settled in. It's a ten month position so I will be able to be home with the kids for about 8 weeks during the summer. Plus, I get all the school holidays and a week paid between Christmas and New Year's. And the biggest perk....free tuition for my kids when they get older! I really couldn't pass this opportunity up. I feel like this a  really big blessing.

We were prepared to have to put Carter in daycare a few days, but we are so grateful to our inlaws and my mom who offered to help with the kids. Samantha goes to preschool two mornings a week and my husband is off on Mondays because he works Saturdays. So I'm hoping everything works out. I'm worried mostly about leaving Carter. Samantha already goes to preschool and other activities and spends a lot of time with my inlaws playing at their house. So she and I are sort of used to being apart. But Carter is my sidekick and we are always together. Its going to be hard for me.  I really hope we all adjust okay!!! Any words of support are greatly appreciated!!!

Carter turned 18 months old today! How? I have no idea. When they said time flies even faster with the second child...they weren't kidding. He is going great though :) Very social...and very handsome...and loves his momma haha He's really into trains lately!

Samantha is such a big girl now. Loving preschool and dance and gymnastics! The girl has a busier social calendar than we do! She's really excited for Christmas this year. It's super cute.

Here are a few pictures from our Fall photo shoot and Halloween. Samantha was Sophia the First and Carter was a Frog Prince :)

Frog prince!

Best pic I could get of the two of them! Carter is constantly on the move!

Semi-annual photo dump

Hi!! Yes it's me. The bad blogger. (tsk tsk). Sometimes I get really sad thinking about how I don't keep this blog updated. Although, at the same time, the two reasons (Samantha &Carter!) that I don't have time to update is whole reason I started this blog in the first place. I wanted these two little adorable busy beings in my life! It's come full circle I guess :)

Everything (and everybody) is well! Sam is 3 1/2 now and Carter is 16 months old. Samantha started preschool and dance class this week! She is also still doing gymnastics. She loves being busy and going places, so this is good for her!! She has become such a funny and smart little thing. I can't get enough of her. And Carter, my little love bug!!! He's getting so big!

Hope all of you are well. xo

Carter turns ONE!

Our handsome little guy turned ONE on May 14th!! Can't believe it....

And he started walking a week before his birthday!! He keeps me on my toes :) On his actual birthday we went to Indian Ladder Farms with my Mom to check out the baby animals! It was a great day. And then last weekend we had a small BBQ
with family and friends to celebrate! We went with a golf theme :)

Since I am (once again) too tired to actual blog all my thoughts about this huge milestone and all the happenings in the lives of Samantha and Carter. Here is a classic photo dump....lol

We are getting ready to move this weekend! Not too far...same town...but I am completely overwhelmed with packing and all things moving related! :) Plus, my poor boy is cutting all of his molars right now at once!!!

Easter and Carter turns 11 months old!!

Sometimes I get a bit sad over this blog and how it's mostly a place for me to photo dump and keep a quick record of things that are going on. Sometimes I miss those days when I would blog for hours just typing up my thoughts and experiences at a leisurely pace.

However, the reason (the two reasons) I am not able to do that anymore are well worth it :) They are the two things I blogged about having someday! My little wishes-come-true. Just sometimes I feel a little guilt that I don't keep it up as often as I should. As well as reading and commenting on other blogs.

On that note...cheers to another photo dump!!!

Just doesn't get any better. Blessed.

Heartbreaker.

I mean...come on...
