Carter turns 6 months and a photo dump!

Our little chunker turned 6 months this past month! His 6 months stats are:

17lbs 14oz
26.5 inches
55% for weight and 51st for height

He's got his two bottom teeth! And is moving (rolling) around like crazy!! He's gets up all all fours and like does this hop! Its so cute! I am thinking he will be crawling VERY soon. Yikes. He LOVES to be tickled and has  just the cutest most contagious laugh ever!!

Sam is doing great. Talking up a storm and growing up too fast! The "bottle fairy" came a few weeks ago. She would ONLY drink milk out of a bottle. She would drink water and juice just fine out of a sippy or an open cup..but was SO attached to the bottle for milk. But we had to just bite the bullet. So the bottle fairy came and took all her bottles to the babies who need them. And left her a daniel tiger trolley instead. Its been tough though. She will hardly drink any milk now :( Hopefully in time this changes!

Things have been so busy here! And right now we are all a little sick. Blah. But I wanted to blog about his 6 month stuff before he turns 7 months this December :)

Here are a few photos from the day Carter turned 6 months, Thanksgiving and tree hunting!

We are pretty excited for Christmas!! We had Christmas card photos of the kids taken at a tree farm! Will share those once cards go out! :)

Carter "chose" a snowman helicopter ornament! He loves snowmen!

Samantha chose a stuffed rudolph ornament!

Searching for her tree!

How cute is this sweater? Perfect for tree hunting!

My beautiful girl

Happy Thanksgiving times two!

5 Months and All Things Fall

Hi everyone!!! Just stopping by for a quick update. Our main man turned FIVE months old on the 14th!! Its pretty much blowing my mind that next month he will be HALF A YEAR OLD!!! Just stop it ok. I just want to freeze time and keep him like this forever.

What's new in Carter's world:

-He cut his first tooth!
-He tried his first food! Oatmeal cereal. I plan on trying some sweet potatoes next and then bananas.
-He's a pro and rolling over! But sometimes gets stuck and gets mad if he can't get himself back over. He actually is scooting a bit too! Ill put him down in one spot and before I know he's making his way around by rolling or scooting.
-He found his feet finally!
-We are practicing sitting up on his own with the boppy but he's not quite there yet!
-He just tried the exersaucer this week and seems to love it!
-His sissy is the funniest person in his world. He loves to watch her and always giggles!
-He likes fresh air and being outside.
-Still lovin' Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!
-He was 14lbs 10oz at his last appt awhile ago..so Im guessing he's in the mid 15lb range now...
-He loves to laugh and smile! For the most part a very happy babe!
-He loves when daddy tickles him! But still is a momma's boy :)
-Likes to sleep on his side now and no swaddle. Usually still wakes once to eat.
-Drinks about 5-6 oz every 3 hours (plus one "meal" a day)
-Enjoys intense games of Peek a boo
-Doesn't like the dark! Especially if he's in the car and its dark :(
-Loves bath time still! Can't wait till his is sitting up and can share a bath with sissy! Convenient AND more fun :)
-Had his first sleepover at his Auntie Kristen's (His Godmomma) and loved it!

What's new in Samantha's world:
-Seriously, she's like a little adult now!
-Lots of talking and singing and arguing haha
-We've hit the terrible two's but at the same time she can be sweet as pie! :)
-She's been into independant play more and she's so imaginative! I love listening to her make up little stories and act them out with her toys.
-She's starting to try new foods which is great!
-Such a good big sister! In the beginning we were a little nervous but she's come around and is so loving with him!
-Loves to dance and color and paint!
-Outside is still her thing she loves the most! Loves playgrounds and parties and kids!
-Lately she's been saying "Snow's comin!!!' " Haha!
-Recently has really started loving cartoons. For awhile she didn't really care. But now her favorites are Paw Patrol, Doc McStuffins, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
-She's about 25 pounds and 2 1/2 years old! Her brother is going to blow by her!
-Potty training could be going better but she does pee on the potty a few times a day and we alternate between pull ups and diapers. Only because I find the pull ups dont really hold up that well with poop! haha
-Her favorite toys right now are her paw patrol stuffed animals. "Pup friends" she calls them. She has to nap and sleep with them at night.
-Lover of ice cream!
-Knows all her colors! And most shapes!

They are both just getting so big so fast! Everyday my heart seriously explodes a bit at how much I love them. Sure, there are often tough days where Im exhausted but everyday there is something good. I am watching another baby again, a 3 month old baby boy. So its been extra busy! He's not a very easy baby...cries a lot so that makes it really hard! And he arrives at 6:30 am. So needless to say Im usually in a mombie state by the end of the day,
Fall is my favorite and we've been trying to get some fall activities in! Which is tough because my husband works saturdays. But we took the kids apple picking a few weeks ago and we are going to a really fun farm this sunday for pumpkin picking. And next week we are taking them both trick or treating for the very first time. Didn't take Sam last year. Samantha is going to be Dorothy and Carter is going to be Toto :) I'm sure next year will be the first year Sam really wants to pick her own costume so I figured this would be my last chance to coordinate costumes!

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the season!!! Is it just me or are the months FLYING by this year??! Here are some recent pictures of the kids!

Until next time...Happy Fall Y'all!

I went away to VA  a few weeks ago with family  (without the kids and husband). And when I got back I saw this. haha.

Carter is four months old!

And in a flash...he's four months old already!!! Can't believe it. Before I know he will be asking for the keys to the car and for an iphone22 lol

Our baby boy is getting SO big. Seriously, such a happy little chunker!!! He has his 4 mth appt on wednesday but Im guessing he might be close to 14 pounds! We shall see. I think he's teething already (constantly drooling and chewing on his hands) and he rolled over from back to belly for the first time a few weeks ago but hasn't done it since.

Carter's likes: His kick and play mat, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (he smiles and laughs when it comes on!), eating, talking/cooing, bathtime, his momma, his giraffe toy, hanging with sissy (as long as she's not hitting him!), flashing his smile and his dimple, mommy and daddy blowing raspberries on his belly :)

Carter's dislikes: Being strapped into his carseat in the car (car rides are hit or miss...sometimes peaceful sometimes a screaming fit). But that's pretty much it for dislikes! He's a happy baby unless hes hungry or tired or in his car seat in the car...he doesn't like to be idle lol

Carter got baptized last Sunday! It was truly a  beautiful day spent with family and friends!

And on the 4th of September my husband and celebrated 4 years together!

Samantha is wonderful. She is seriously growing up before our eyes! Sometime it makes my heart explode and sometimes it makes me sad because I just want to keep her my baby girl forever. She is just talking so much and doing so many new things...it amazes us!!! She is doing really great on the potty and we are doing pull ups during the day and diaper at night. She's really come out of her shell too. Last year she was so shy and had stranger anxiety. This year she is our little social butterfly!!! She loves parties and playgrounds! haha I have noticed lately she is more into watching cartoons or movies and is playing more with her toys. Earlier this year she seemed to not have much interest in her toys anymore or watching anything on tv. And to be honest sometimes a cartoon is a lifesaver!! She is also exploring new foods which is good! She still LOVES to be outside. If she could sleep outside every night she probably would. Lately she is so funny..when she wants something she'll say "I want milk please, honey." Or "I want a muffin, sweetheart," It cracks us up. In general, she has been a great big sister! She loves to copy everything I say and do with Carter. Sometimes she'll get a littleeeee rough with him! But overall, she loves her "bubby" as we call him. My husband has been giving Samantha her baths at night since Carter was born and they have this cute thing they do every night where my husband says in this hip-hop sounding voice "What time is it??!" and Samantha replies with a big smile "Tubby time!!!" lol

Next month, I am going away ALONE (gasp!) to Virginia for two of my cousins weddings. They are sisters and getting married the same weekend (to make it easier since a lot of family is out of town) and I am going alone because my husband is IN a wedding up here the same weekend. So we are each going solo. But I am already starting to have major anxiety about being that far from my babies!!! I know they will be in great hands between my husband and in laws, but still. My parents are going to be away that week too so they are not able to help. I know it will be good for me to get away...but I am anxious about it!

So excited that Fall is here!!!! So much to do...so little time....

Here are a few pics of the kids....

Edited: At Carter's 4 month appt he weighed in at 14lbs 10oz 24 inches long!!

Carter is three months old!!!

Goodness gracious (Samantha's new fave phrase!) I can't believe our little guy is 3 months already! Seriously, the time has FLOWN by.

He is getting so big! I have to say he is definitely a Momma's boy right now. He and I are in love. ha ha. He loves smiling at his momma! And I have NO complaints about that :) He's about 12 pounds! Eats 4 1/2-5 oz every 3 (sometimes 2 1/2 hours). Sleeps through the night sometimes! His sleep pattern is inconsistent. He'll go a few days sleeping through the night to getting up once. Which we can definitely handle! He's recently found his hands and loves to suck on them and loves to tell us stories lately! He does take a binky but he doesn't seem obsessed with it or anything. Tummy time is not his idea of a good time. lol. Although, he is trying very hard to roll over already! He almost has it down!

He's also had blocked tear ducts for over a month now. It can get pretty goopy and gross but after seeing the eye doc, we just have to keep using the ointment and warm washcloth compressions. She said most cases clear up by one years old! And if it doesn't they may do a procedure to probe his tear ducts. Which she said can be a risky so Im hoping this just clears up! I think I told you guys he has a hemangioma on his belly? Samantha has a huge one on the back of her neck when she was  a baby which had to be removed. His is smaller and I think is slowing down in growth. So hopefully we wont have to go the surgery route with him! My friend is actually giving us a essential oil concoction to try on it! So Im excited to see if that works.

Nicknames to note: Biggie Smalls, Wubster, Buster Brown, Bubba. And the way Samantha says his name is so cute and makes us laugh...she pronounces it "Car-terre" She sounds French lol

Samantha is getting so big too! The big sis. I still cant believe it. She's just so smart and spunky! I love my girl! However lately she is throwing a lot of tantrums and hitting us and Carter :( It's been tough. I know part of it is just being two and testing the limits and the other part is a bit of jealousy of her baby brother. Im hoping this phase passes sooner than later! Most of the time she is so sweet and funny and just awesome! But oh boy, the tantrums and stuff are TOUGH. Sam is still loving OUTSIDE. This girl hates to be indoors! She always wants to "Go play!" I dread rainy days. She also loves mimicking everything I do with Carter. If I feed him, she feeds her baby too! If I change him she changes her baby too! And she has been super into reading lately! I love catching her just sitting in her room "reading" books to herself :)

She also has gone pee pee on the potty 5 times! We sit on the potty a lot, but sometimes she is just not interested! But we are getting there :)

Life has been a whirlwind with two kids!! Mommy brain is in full effect :)
Here are a few pics of the kids!!!!

A week of firsts and Carter turns two months old!

This Summer is flying by, friends. I mean FLYING BY. I need it to slow down.

Life has been busy! But I wanted to update the blog a little. This week has been a week of firsts for Samantha!
-First swim lesson!
-First time on a carosuel!
-First pee pee on the potty! Wooho! I may have cried a little :)
-First time out :( She's pretty rough (on purpose) with her little brother lately :(
-First walk in the double stroller! The thing is a beast! So heavy haha It was also the first time I was really exercising since my broken leg.

Samantha LOVES to be outside...always!!! I love that she is so active and loves the outdoors! But there are times where I'm wishing she would sit down and chill out with a Disney movie haha She is getting so big! And talking so much more! Love my princess!

Carter turns two months old tomorrow! About a week and a half ago he was 9lbs  4oz and 20 inches. I love cuddling with my little guy. He was pretty colicky when we brought him home but he is getting better. He is on a reflux med and I use lavender and serenity essential oils on his feet at night and this all seems to help! This week his has slept through the night 3 days in a row! He's really starting to chunk up and I love it :) And his smile?? This kid owns me :)

Here are a few pics of the kids! Cannot believe I can say "kids" plural! How did this happen?? lol

Hope you all are enjoying your Summer :)
