Colic is evil...

Well, my friends, we have a colicky baby on our hands. I'll sleep when I'm dead...

More on this later...

In happier news...our beautiful girl is now 5lbs 11oz!!! :) And her belly stump finally fell off so we are going to give her a real bath this weekend!! Is it weird that I was a little sad the stump came off??

oh I am so sorry, colic is the biggest bitch ever. I dealt with it a lot so if you have any questions let me know. My best tips are to run the vacuum or get a vacuum sound track of itunes, belly massage, and use gripe water if you can. Good luck!

Is it weird that I got sad the first time Shane slept through the night? Nevermind. Forget I asked!

Happy to hear about Samanthas weight gain! That is awesome! Sorry about the colic. Just remember that all things pass at some point.

Aww that sucks! I hope you figure out some things that can soothe her!

Good luck with sleep!

lol, not weird at all! I get sad each time they hit a new milestone - including, like LIz said, when they slept through the night, lol! So, colic is usually acid reflux or a MSPI - does she have that? If so, let me know. I've got lots to say about that! Jax had reflux and it was a rough go until we got it all straightened out. Hang in there - you will sleep before you are dead. It feels like this exhaustion and crying will last forever - but I promise it FLIES by. Thinking of you!

Not at all weird to be sad about it falling off! It's hard not to be sentimental about every little thing. I hope the colic passes

She will sleep eventually. I hope for your sake that it is soon!!! I dread the sleep-deprivation and crying again... :)

I spent alot of time wheeling my first baby around in a pram or in the car- movement soothes them. Keep up the good work, it's not easy.

Colic is evil. Jake had to be worn in a baby carrier and loved the vaccum being on or being held kind of belly down....hopefully you can find something to soothe her. It is always sad when they hit a new milestone....have fun with her first real bath though!

i'm sorry, but at least colic is temporary. you'll get through it just fine. is there anyone that can come over to help from time to time, so you can nap?

YAY for samantha getting bigger! it's totally normal to feel sad about that, though. i got really sad when i had to pack away mack's newborn clothes. ha ha! it gets better and better as they get older, though. :)

Colic sucks. But it will, eventually, pass. I promise.

awww sorry to hear about the colic. We used homeopathic drops by Boiron. They were magic for Abbey.

You will sleep again...and you will be up all night the first few times she STTN. Then again, I was up with A from 1am-5am last night...yay for teething :|

I was a colicky baby and so was my brother. I think my mom could feel for you on this one?

You need to give Colic Calm a try--it was the only thing that worked for my daughter. I also liked that it was FDA regulated and natural. Here's a list of their ingredients in case you want more info:
