Last week E (from Manymanymoons) and I got our lil ladies together!! Samantha's first playdate (well with another itty bitty baby that is)!! It was really so cool to just be sitting in E's living room with our two baby girls! We couldn't believe it :)
I must say Baby Am.elia is a beauty!!! And was a sleeping beauty that day. I was worried about Samantha crying a lot (and she sort of did!) so we decided to take a walk around the neighborhood with the girls. It was so nice! And once again, we couldn't believe we were pushing (our baby girls!) in strollers on a walk together! It seems like a lifetime ago when E and I first met over brunch and bitchin about infertility :)
We both took pictures of the girls together, but for some reason I can't find them on my camera! Boooo! So hopefully E can post one of hers. It's funny because Am.elia is a regular size newborn, and Samantha is 3 months and still such a peanut!!!
It'll be fun to watch these lil ladies grow together :) That is if E doesn't up and leave to Ohio someday! :)
I don't think I even updated you all on Sam's last appt. She is 8lbs 14oz as of last Friday!! Still on the Neocate which seems to be helping a lot. Her colic is improving, but she still cries a lot in the early evening. But she has been getting better overall. She takes catnaps during the day, but sleeps like a rockstar at night. That's probably a bad analogy since I don't think rockstars get much sleep with all the partying :) The doc thinks the hemangioma on her neck is getting better, but I dont know. It still seems to bother her, but maybe not as much? The doc said we could look into drugs to help reduce it, but Im not sure we will go that route. We have another appt with the plastic surgeon (just to keep an eye on it) this coming week. She's been smiling more!!! And I absolutely love it :) She's also been enjoying her play mat more and sucking on her hands! She's been "talking" a lot too :) Ahhh I just love her to pieces. I can't stop kissing her!!
We are trying her in her crib tonight for the first time! She's been sleeping in her bouncer the last month. I think because of the reflux, she likes sleeping on an incline with the vibration on. And this is going to be hard to break. Even though shes on prilosec for reflux it seems to be worse lately. She's been spitting up a lot more. Anyways, don't laugh at me, but I may have put her whole bouncer in the crib! My plan is to do this for a few nights to get her used to the crib/room and then not use the bouncer. She had been taking a nap a day in her crib awhile back, but that stopped because she doesnt really nap well during the day now. Just lil catnaps here and there. So shes's in there now, in the bouncer, in the crib, sleepin :) I do plan on sleeping on the floor in there for a few nights. I'm kind of emotional about this switch to the crib!!! :( I'm used to her sleeping nearby! I hope this goes well. Good thing we put AC in her room yesterday, because today was HOT in New York. Holy (hot) cow. You could cut the heat with a knife.
Oh! And how could I forget. Sam did have a lil playdate too with her future BFF "K" who's still in utero :) She can't wait until September for her friend to arrive!!! <3

How fun! I love meeting up with bloggers I've met over the years, especially when you have the joy of introducing your sweet babes too! I sure hope E has some pictures, I'd love to see some.
That sounds like so much fun!! How awesome that you live nearby each other!
ps - she's adorable!
That's awesome you were able to get the girls together for a play date.
Hope she sleeps well in her crib.
I'm loving catching up on your blog... I've been slacking! She is so stinkin' cute! Praying that little princess sleeps for her mommy tonight! :)
