Super.

Sorry I have been MIA the past few days. Still checking in on your blogs but I am in a blogging drought. It's been super hot here the past few days and I've been super tired. However, my ovaries are not super. They kind of suck actually. Today is Day 21 and no positive OPKs yet. Either this is going to be a super long cycle or it's just not gonna happen. Sigh.

Had a great memorial day weekend! Even worked on my tan (burn) a little :) I'll pep up this weekend with a super good post. I've kind of been in the "if you have nothing fun/important to say--say nothing at all" mood. And the heat. Even our AC's cant keep up with it! Maybe I'm just getting old.

Anyone see the article about the couple who just had their 3rd child and are deciding to keep the gender a secret? I guess because they don't want him/her feeling pressured by society to act/dress like a little boy or a little girl. They want to let the kid choose...

Super WEIRD.

I feel the same way. I don't really have anything new or interesting to say. I'm not sure if you are still free, but Sun for breakfast?? I would love to meet up, just let me know.

Okay, I have to find that article. Gender isn't exactly something we get to choose for ourself. Kinda just the way it is! Too weird.

I think that there are many of us in the same boat lately for whatever reason! And as for long cycle - you hang in there....I am on CD 41 and I think I FINALLY just ovulated!! Gee, I just *love* having a 55 day cycle and having half the chances to try of other people....grrrr!
As for the article, that does sound a little strange...maybe they are focus more on breaking the gender stereotypes no matter what sex?

I studied some couples who did that in college. Very interesting. I always said I wouldn't over-do it with "gender-izing" my kids, but I've failed miserably:). Gender is a social construct (unlike sex, which is obviously biologically determined), and a VERY strong one. No matter what we do, they'll get socialized, but we can be careful on HOW we do it in our home. But, yes, that kind of couple in the article you described is going way overboard - should be interesting to see how long they can keep it a secret:).
